It started with a bottle.
It stayed because of the look
on his face.

I came across engraved glassware and thought — this looks like something I could do. More than that, it looked like something worth doing.

There's a specific feeling that comes with holding something made with you in mind. I know because I felt it — I had a bottle engraved for me and felt special to have a hand in designing it. I wanted to be the one who creates that feeling for others.

The first pieces I made were coasters — etched for a group of friends. Then came a painted and engraved bottle for a birthday. The way his face lit up when he saw it — that moment is why Sapphire Lab exists.
